Jesus was a rebel in his own way and He proved it when he broke all the norms of the day to go out of His way to meet the Woman at the Well.  Traditions at that time dictated that as a Samaritan, and a woman He should not trouble Himself to even acknowledge her, much less seek her out to talk with her.  Not only that but it was a triple offense as she was also considered a woman of disrepute. This image captures Christ’s pursuit of every human heart. In this re-creation of the Gustov Dore original, the artist had some fun including hidden images throughout it.
